Valentino Fernandes, M.D., is a Board-Certified physician specializing in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine with over 20 years of experience. He has experience in treating a variety of lung diseases in the ICU, in the hospital and in the clinic setting.
Dr. Fernandez moved to Texas from California in 2003, initially practicing at St. Paul University Hospital and then in the Baylor system.
Dr. Fernandes completed his specialty training in Pulmonary and Critical Care from The University of Southern California, and his Internal Medicine training from Case Western Reserve University – Mount Sinai Medical Center, in Cleveland Ohio. Dr. Fernandes has won various awards consisting of Values in Action Award for Dignity, “Best Hospitals for Common Care” rating for excellence in treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Glaxo Wellcome Pulmonary Research Fellowship Award, among others.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Fernandes enjoys spending time with his wife and four sons, two of whom are Eagle Scouts and two to go. He is active in his church scout troop and enjoys traveling as well.
