Pragya Gupta, M.D.

Pragya Gupta, M.D., is a board-certified physician specializing in Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Medicine and Critical Care. She is passionate about diagnosing and managing severe asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, lung cancer, chronic respiratory failure, simple and complex sleep disorders. She is known to be a strong advocate for her patients and has created a large network of healthcare professionals, respiratory therapists around her which helps her provide excellent care to her patients in the outpatient world.

She performs state of art procedures including endobronchial ultrasound, fiberoptic bronchoscopy, advanced airway management, thoracentesis, long-term pleural catheter placements and management.


Dr. Gupta graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and went on to do research at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, in India and NY Presbyterian Cornell University in New York. She completed her residency at Columbia University, St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in NY, and then went on to do her fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has multiple publications in leading journals like Chest and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. She has also presented her work at conferences like the American Thoracic Society International Conference and American College of Chest Physicians conferences.

In addition to her love for the art of medicine, she loves being a mom to her two kids at home. She enjoys reading a book, cooking, hiking in her free time.
