George Ryan Gilligan, M.D., is a Board-Certified physician specializing in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine with over 15 years of experience.
Dr. Gilligan performs care to patients with pulmonary and respiratory conditions in the inpatient and outpatient settings, and provides care to patients with organ failure of all types in the intensive care unit (ICU) setting.
Dr. Gilligan received his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, his residency training in Internal Medicine from Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and completed his subspecialist fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Gilligan was a National Merit Scholar at Rice University, he has been voted by his peers a Super Doctor, and for 3 consecutive years was named a Texas Rising Star. He has assisted within hospital systems and administration, among other duties, as Medical Director of Cardiopulmonary Services, System Physician Informatics Leader, and Physician Facility Champion for Elder Life. Dr. Gilligan has affiliations with the Texas Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Gilligan enjoys a multitude of activities with his wife and five children.
