Syed Rizvi, M.D., FCCP, is a Board-Certified physician specializing in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine with over 15 years of experience providing care to patients with common respiratory problems such as COPD, Asthma, bronchitis, pulmonary infections as well as more complicated problems such as lung cancer, interstitial lung and pulmonary vascular diseases. His scope of sleep medicine includes sleep apnea, insomnia and other sleep related problems. He performs state of art procedures such as EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound) and Bronchial Thermoplasty as well as common procedures such as fiberoptic bronchoscopy and thoracentesis.
Dr. Rizvi received his medical degree from Dow Medical University and finished his residency and fellowship in Pulmonary, Sleep and Critical Care Medicine from North Shore University and Long Island Jewish Health System in New York. Dr. Rizvi has been honored with The Director’s Excellence in Medicine Award along with an Honors in Medicine. Dr. Rizvi has also been affiliated with several critically appraised publications surrounding topics such as community-acquired pneumonia, effects of nitrous oxide on patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), along with many others. Outside of medicine, Dr. Rizvi enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children along with outdoor activities such as tennis and golf.
